I have gathered some pretty good music in the last few weeks, most significantly a cover album of sorts. Unless I hear a remarkable one, I probably won't put them down for my covers of the day, but you can download the album's length number of songs at levi's (the jean company) pioneer sessions site. Just google it. There are some great artists scattered throughout the whole thing, and I've heard some great songs by The Swell Season, John Legend with The Roots, and The Dirty Projectors. It's good, it's summer-y, and it's very free, so it is more than worth your time.
In other free music news, Stereogum has released two volumes filled with 25 of the best summer glitch rock-y jams you could ever dance in the car to. Once again free, and better yet, touching upon my musical heartstrings.
Lastly, Big Boi's Big Boi Mixtape for Dummies, a precursor to the new album coming out tomorrow, hit the web and can be found on any mixtape site, or by googling the name. One of the driving forces behind Outkast does not dissapoint with hits that have already hit the web ("Shutterbug") as well as some other great samples yet to be heard.
That's all for me for now. I leave for San Francisco on my first, and hopefully not last, West Coast trip ever, so wish me luck. I'll be back in the regular swing of things when I get back, so i'll try my hardest to maintain this bad boy.
Urbody take care now, ya'll.
